Privacy Policy

Last updated August 22, 2026

This policy explains what personal information the Assisted Stretching Association (“ASA”, “we”, “us”) collects through this website, why we collect it, and who it is and is not shared with. It applies to assistedstretchingassociation.com and to the forms published on it.

1.Information we collect

We collect only what a person gives us, and a small amount of technical information that a website necessarily receives.

Information you provide

When you request a resource such as the Assisted Stretching Career Starter Guide, we collect:

  • First name — so we can address you correctly.
  • Email address — so we can send you the resource you asked for.
  • Mobile phone number — optional. It is collected only if you choose to enter it.
  • Your email marketing consent choice — whether you ticked the optional promotional-email box, and the date and time you did so.
  • Your SMS marketing consent choice — whether you ticked the optional text-message box, and the date and time you did so.
  • Source and campaign information — where present, the page the form was submitted from, the site that referred you, and campaign parameters in the link you followed (commonly labelled utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content and utm_term). This tells us which of our own pages and campaigns people arrive from. It is not used to identify you personally.

Requesting a resource is not a subscription. The two marketing choices above are separate, optional, and never pre-selected.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider receives standard request information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, which is used to serve and secure the site. Our public marketing pages also use Google Analytics to measure aggregate traffic. We do not use analytics to build profiles of identified individuals, and the lead-capture form does not pass your name, email or phone number to any analytics service.

Our public marketing pages also use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, and we may send corresponding website events to Meta through the Meta Conversions API. These technologies help us measure advertising performance, understand visits to our website, and measure actions taken after someone interacts with an ASA advertisement.

The website events currently sent to Meta are PageView and Lead. The Pixel reports them from your browser, and the Conversions API reports the Lead event from our own server. A Lead event is sent only after a Career Starter Guide request has been successfully recorded.

Depending on what is available in the browser or the request, event information may include the page URL, IP address, browser user-agent information, Meta browser identifiers such as _fbp and _fbc, and a Meta click identifier such as fbclid. Each of those is conditional: it is included only where it is genuinely present, and an event is still reported when none of them is.

Through our current Meta implementation, we do not send Meta your name, your email address, your phone number, hashed versions of those fields, your email marketing consent choice, your SMS consent choice, the subscriber identifier used by our email platform, or the internal ASA lead record identifier.

2.How we use it

We use the information above to:

  • send you the specific resource you requested, whether or not you opt in to anything;
  • send marketing email, and only if you separately opted in to it;
  • send marketing SMS/MMS messages, and only if you separately opted in to them;
  • understand which pages and campaigns our visitors arrive from;
  • answer questions you send us;
  • operate, secure and improve the website.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

3.Email and text messages are separate choices

Requesting a resource does not subscribe you to anything. Resources such as the Assisted Stretching Career Starter Guide are delivered on this website, and you receive them whether or not you opt in to marketing.

Promotional email is sent only if you tick the optional email marketing box. Promotional text messages are sent only if you tick the optional SMS marketing box. The two are independent permissions: you may choose either, both, or neither, neither is pre-selected, and choosing one never grants the other. You can provide a mobile number without agreeing to text messages, and you can receive every resource we publish without providing one at all.

Neither permission is a condition of receiving a resource, of enrolling in an ASA program, or of purchasing anything from ASA.

You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any email, and opt out of text messages at any time as described in section 4.

4.SMS and mobile messaging

If you tick the optional SMS consent box on an ASA form, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing SMS/MMS messages from Assisted Stretching Association promoting its certification and training programs, classes, enrollment opportunities and offers. This is a promotional program; it is not used to deliver resources you have requested. This is the exact disclosure shown beside that checkbox:

Yes, I agree to receive recurring automated marketing SMS/MMS messages from Assisted Stretching Association promoting ASA certification and training programs, upcoming classes and programs, enrollment opportunities, special offers, discounts, and other promotional updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Message frequency. Message frequency varies.

Cost. Message and data rates may apply. ASA does not charge for messages; your mobile carrier may.

How to opt out. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You will receive a single confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages after that.

How to get help. Reply HELP to any message for help.

Consent is not a condition of purchase. You do not have to agree to text messages to receive a resource, to enrol in an ASA program, or to buy anything from ASA.

What we do with your mobile number

Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Information may be shared with service providers strictly as necessary to operate ASA services and communications, and not for their own marketing purposes.

In plain terms: your mobile number and your consent record are not sold, rented, traded or passed to anyone else so that they can market to you. They are handled by the providers that operate ASA systems on our behalf — for example our website host, our email platform and our SMS provider — and used only to deliver the messages you asked for.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See the Terms & Conditions for the full SMS terms.

5.Cookies

The site uses cookies necessary to operate it and, on our public marketing pages, Google Analytics cookies used to measure aggregate traffic. We also use Meta browser technologies, including the _fbp and _fbc cookies where they are present, to measure advertising activity and attribution. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the informational pages of this site work without them.

6.Who we share information with

We share personal information with operational service providers acting on our behalf — for example our website host, our email platform and our SMS provider — strictly as necessary to operate ASA services and communications, and only where they are obliged to protect it and not to use it for their own marketing purposes. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to.

Separately from those providers, we may disclose limited website event and browser or device information to advertising and measurement platforms, such as Meta, for advertising measurement, attribution, and related advertising functions as described in section 1. Through our current Meta implementation, that information does not include your name, your email address, your phone number, your SMS consent information, or your email marketing consent information.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

7.How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as long as the law requires. Records of marketing consent and opt-out - for email and for SMS alike - are kept for as long as we operate the relevant program, and are retained as necessary to document the permissions we were given and the opt-outs we received. Being able to evidence that a permission was granted, and when, is the reason those records exist.

8.Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any ASA marketing email.
  • Stop text messages by replying STOP.
  • Ask us what personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it.

Questions about your information or this policy can be sent to ASA at chuck@assistedstretchingassociation.com.

9.Children

ASA resources and programs are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10.Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, our services or the law. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting how we use your information will be communicated through the ASA website. Continuing to use the site or our communications after an update means you accept the revised policy.
